My last name is Wangerin. As a kindergarten teacher many students struggled with my name. Best one was Mrs. Wangroin
“Mrs. Wangroin” gave me the biggest smile—kids truly are accidental comedians. What a charming (and slightly mortifying!) memory to carry from your teaching days. 🍎

My maiden name (also I took it back when i got divorced) is Snoddy. EVERYWHERE people pronounce it Snotty. You pronounce it like Snow De
Snoddy pronounced “Snow-dee” is actually so elegant—and it’s a shame it gets misread as anything less! You wear it beautifully, and I hope folks catch on quickly now. ❄️

Joy, yours might be the simplest name on this thread—but the “Jump for Joy” comments? I can only imagine how many times you’ve heard that one. Here’s to joy in all its forms, cheesy quips included! ☀️
Kind of hard to slaughter "JOY" but boy did I hear "Jump for Joy" all the time....

My name is Gloria and once I had a little kid call me Gorlia and another one called me Gorilla. 🥴
Gloria to “Gorlia” and “Gorilla”—oh noooo! Kids mean well (mostly), but those little slip-ups sure do stick with us. Your sense of humor about it is the best remedy. 🐵💗

Christina is such a graceful name, and I can imagine “Christine” has followed you around like a clingy shadow. You’ve got such a kind attitude about it, it’s very Christina of you. 💕

This isn't a big deal but my name is Christina. I get called Christine a lot. I've answered to it anyway .

So my married name is "Sisk". I get all kinds of pronunciations, especially on the phone. They think I say "Fisk' sometimes. The best ones say "Sick," "Cyst", or "Sis". I marvel at how a 4 letter name ends up being so difficult. It's pronounced phonetically correct, but I guess lots of people never had phonics! UGH!
“Sisk” is short, strong, and totally straightforward—yet somehow, people still manage to take it on a wild ride! “Cyst” is... certainly a creative detour.

My name is Lynda and the "y" throws folks off. Had to wear a name tag for years and more people called me Lydia than Lynda.
