What are your plans this weekend? Image Credit: Pixabay/Pexels

Hello, hello GrayViners—Ally here, checking in to see what you're all up to today! We're at the cusp of the weekend, and I've got plans to catch up with some dear friends. Just knowing that's around the corner is giving me the push I need to get through the day with a smile. I'm really looking forward to laughing with all of them (they're a funny bunch), and now I want to ask you this: When’s the last time you had a really good laugh with someone? You know the kind—the laugh that makes your stomach hurt, your eyes water, and whatever you were worrying about magically disappear for a second. Share your funny stories in the comments! 💜

Or, if you have something else you'd like to share—whether it’s a cool fact you just learned, a funny story, or something that’s been bothering you—feel free to comment them down, too! This General Discussion Thread is created just for you, so feel free to engage with your fellow members!

Now, what's on YOUR mind today?

My sister ended up in the hospital the day of her engagement party. Because relatives came from out of town and Italy for the event the fiancé arranged with the hospital to have the event on there patio. I do not do well in hospitals. I get lightheaded and pass out because of the smells and such. The fiancé was waiting at the hospital entrance for me with a wheelchair and wheeled me to where the event was all the while saying gangway, move it to people that might have been in the way. Too funny 😁

When I was in high school, my bestie and I would go to the drug store and read the funny cards (you know, the long, skinny ones). They were always good for a belly laugh or two. We would spend hours looking at them and reading them out loud. Probably couldn't do that now tho. We lived in a very small town and the owner knew our parents so they let us do it.

Years ago my now husband & I treated my friend Pat to a winery tour/ tasting for her birthday.
I stressed the importance of having breakfast that morning.
We did the tour & wine tasting, Pat loved it and asked to do it again, and we did.
On the way home, Pat is hanging out the back window meowing at people., I had to reach back and pull her in.
I asked if she had breakfast, she said yes, I asked what did you eat?? She looked at me and said , eat?? She told me all she ever had for breakfast was a cup of coffee.
We ended up at the first diner to get food into her.
The following week she called me and tells me she’s pregnant!!
I told her we’re never taking you to another winery.

Oh wow — what an unforgettable day! Thank you so much for sharing that with us @Hazeleyes . It sounds like your sister’s fiancé has a great sense of humor and a big heart. I can just picture him wheeling you through the hospital, calling out “gangway!” like it was a parade — no wonder everyone was laughing! 😄 How’s your sister doing now? And did they ever have a more traditional celebration later on, or did the hospital patio become the wedding story that everyone still talks about?

That sounds like such a fun memory — thank you for sharing it with us @bobbibonn ! Those long, skinny cards really did have the best jokes, didn’t they? 😄 I can just imagine the two of you cracking up in the aisle while the shop owner shook their head with a smile. Do you still keep in touch with your bestie from back then? And do you think the store is still around today?

Oh my goodness — that story had me in stitches! Thank you so much for sharing it with us @Mido921 . I can just picture poor Pat meowing out the car window after a few too many sips on an empty stomach 😄 And then calling you the next week with that surprise — talk about a plot twist! Do you still laugh about that day together? And did you ever actually take her to another winery again, or did she stay banned for life? 😄

She is doing okay thank you. That was the celebration. No traditional celebrations. No one talks about it anymore as they are divorced.
