Putting clean sheets on our bed. Everything is so crisp and I make a tight bed like we did in the military. Feels terrific slipping between the sheets. Peaceful nights rest.

That’s such a satisfying chore to enjoy — nothing beats the feeling of crisp, freshly made sheets. And making the bed military-tight must make it feel even more perfect. Do you still use hospital corners like you did back then? Thank you for sharing @Gayle B. !

Washing dishes by hand. The water is so warm on a cold day. In with the dirty dishes out with shiny and clean dishes. The silverware......

I do the vacuuming and most of the cleaning on Saturdays. During the week I I mop if the floors need it.

Oh, angib55, I have a dishwasher, but prefer to do my dishes every day, or every other day. It's just me, so there aren't a whole lot of dishes to do!

That sounds like such a fun twist on a daily chore! Turning dishwashing into a Jenga challenge definitely makes it more interesting. How high have you managed to stack them before it all came tumbling down? Thanks for painting such a great picture @GaryBlake !

TriciaR, I have stacked them at least a foot high once or twice. I use large glass bowls and a big colander that occupy a lot of space in the drain rack. You must be VERY careful when removing anything!!

Hot, soapy water really does make dishwashing feel comforting, especially when everything ends up sparkling. Do you find it more relaxing to wash as you go, or do a big batch at the end? Thanks for sharing @BarbF !
