How are you doing, dear GrayViners? I hope you woke up on the right side of the bed this morning!

My nephew and I had an early start to the day, diving straight into his toy collection. He handed me a crocodile one, and it instantly sparked a memory—of having the real thing on a sizzling plate during a trip about a decade ago. I was out for a night with friends in a small rural town when we learned it was one of the local delicacies. Being a self-proclaimed foodie, I knew we simply had to try it. It turned out to be delicious—and yes, it really does taste a bit like chicken!

It made me wonder: what’s the most adventurous bite you’ve ever taken? I can’t wait to hear your stories!

Through my life , I tasted many odd things, to me any way, pickled pig feet, brains, I love shrimp and lobster, but to watch some one eat craw fish, head and all, No way, I tasted one, its ok, but I can't do it. Alligator is good. Head Cheese is a no. Most NO is raw oysters.

Escargot is what I've tried and it tastes just like chewing on a rubber eraser, in other words, not very good. I don't care for venison as it's too gamey. I want to try Buffalo meat. I've tried crayfish and they are very sweet. I love all of the seafoods i.e. lobster, shrimp, scallops and octopus (calimari), and New England Clams. Not a fan of oysters, too slimey.

I was at a French Bistro with some friends and I kept looking at the menu. One of my friends dared me to order snails. Never one to say no to a dare I ordered them. When I saw the snail shells all I could think about were those slimmy little things in my garden. I ate them and they were delicious, garlic and butter.

51 years ago, when I was 21 & engaged, we went to meet his parents across the country. He warned me they were difficult. The first night were there, his dad took us to a dive bar and ordered beers and 6 oysters on the 1/2 shell. Dad asked if I ever had oysters. I said I'd had oyster stew. He handed me one. I wasn't going to give him the reaction he wanted so I gulped it down. He asked me if I liked it & I said NO! It just felt like a gob of snot going down my throat. He said Well, at least I had tried it. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Escargot was rubbery because it was not made correctly. Venison also needs to be prepared correctly. It needs to soak in milk and then marinate before making. When you try buffalo make sure you ask for it medium rare or it does not taste good and becomes tough.

I have had many things over the years. At a restaurant My father used to order things we never had and he would pass it around the table for each of us to try. He would not tell us what it was till after we tried it and voiced if we liked it was r not.
I dated a chef who had me try escargot and it was really good.( I never would have ordered this ever) I had it at a restaurant and it was terrible. All depends on if made correctly.
The same goes with sushi. Never thought I would ever eat it. Tried it once and some was good and some not so good. Shrimp and Philadelphia rolls I do not like. California, tuna and salmon are my favorite ones.

Ccalamari, I had it at Olive Garden. I thought not bad. Then my husband laughed and told me exactly what I was eating. NOT ANOTHER BITE !!!!!
