Happy Friday, dear GrayViners!

As the weekend gets closer, I’ve been daydreaming about doing something a little daring. I wonder if it’s time to dye my hair blue—I’ve been working my way through the rainbow and only have two colors left! (I had to pause because all the bleaching nearly had me going bald!) It got me thinking about the hair adventures we’ve all had—perms, mullets, or that one “what was I thinking?” cut. What’s the boldest hairstyle you’ve ever had—or always wished you tried? Can’t wait to hear your stories—bonus points if you share a photo! 😁

When I was younger my grandfather used to put a bowl on our head and cut our hair. Thank goodness that stopped. Years later I let my hair grow till it was down to my butt. Decided I wanted it cut like Farrah Fawcett so went to hair salon with a picture of how i wanted it. Not paying attention while my hair was being cut it ended up in only two layers and she cut it above my shoulder. I walked out crying and did not pay. I let it grow a bit and for 4 years had the spiral perm. Started to cause too much damage to my hair so just let it grow again. I dye my own hair and really don’t do it unless there is a big event or I feel it is getting too gray and color it. I am a beauty school drop out and trim or cut my own hair until I feel I want it cut a certain way than go to a hair salon.

My hair has always been very dark with Auburn high lights. Decided wanted to go Platnimum Blonde. Oh dear what a mess. Having it done in a salon and bleaching murder on hair and scalp. For some reason, turned purple and eventually got it there. Looked horrible on me and then working to get it back to normal. Best solution, shaved my head. Now i have Silver but enjoy having Purple streaks put in and some times use other colors.
