General Discussion Thread 10.16.2025

Hey, GrayViners! 🌙

Today, I woke up feeling a little groggy—and I know exactly why. I didn’t stick to my bedtime (again).
So now I’m curious… what time do you usually go to sleep?

Are you one of those early-to-bed, early-to-rise folks who greet the sunrise with a smile, or do you find your second wind just as the clock strikes midnight? Maybe you’ve got a nightly routine that works like magic—or maybe, like me, you’re still trying to find one that sticks.

Let’s compare sleep habits in the forum and see who’s secretly nocturnal among us. 😄

👉 What time do you usually turn in for the night—and what’s your bedtime ritual (if you have one)?

Can’t wait to read your replies! 😉

Cheers,
Sophia

I live alone, and the television doesn't do much for me. I normally shut down the computer around 7:30 to 8:00 and go to bed at 8:30. I will work on crossword puzzles and read a library book until about 10:00. One last, ha ha, bathroom break before lights out, Then it is up every hour on the hour, to make sure the bathroom is still operational, until 4 or 5 am, and I will decide to stay up until the next sunset, lol. What a life, :ROFLMAO: but it is better than the alternative.

I don't turn tv on until 6:30 pm. I watch until 10:30. take a shower do a crossword puzzel or read until 11:30 Turn the light out. I am not an early riser person. I like to get up around 8:30. 'then all of my animals wants their morning treats. I do computer or read or mow the yard. what ever needs done until evening.

I go to bed at 9 and have my husband wake me up at 10 a.m.. Who knows how long I would sleep if he didn't wake me up. I'm asleep the minute my head hits the pillow.

I take my meds at 9:00, Turn off the PC and TV, and get to bed around 9:30. I read until I can't keep my eyes open anymore, between 10:30 and 11:00. I get up between 5:00 and 8:00 am, depending on how much energy I expended the day before.

I usually go to sleep between 11:00 PM and midnight and I usually wake between 6:30 and 7:30. I've always been a night owl.

Sure wish my two labs would let me sleep till 8 or so, but they want their breakfast at 6 am, no ifs ands or buts, I do not know how they know but they know it is 6 am. You have your animals better-mannered than my two.

Go to bed about 11pm and finally get up at 7am. I say finally since I have gotten up a couple of times during the night due to a demanding bladder.

We are in bed around 10. Take medicine at 11:30. We’re sleeping by midnight or so. We’re back up for a bathroom breaks at 3 and 5. Up again at 7 for breakfast. We try to lay back down till 9:30 and then we’re up for the day.pretty boring, huh? Nothing exciting ever goes on here these days.
Since retiring from the Air Force we have NO desire to be up at what we called getting up at
”” oh dark thirty “. That was how it felt getting up whatever in reality is from 2 to 5 am when normal people were still in bed. 🥴 😵‍💫

I can sit in my recliner and fall asleep, then come to bed around 9 : 30 and be wide awake. Like right now. I will be on my phone until 1 A.M. If I don't I would just lay here.
