General Discussion Thread 10.20.2025

Hey GrayViners!

It’s amazing how the internet can turn one quick question into an hour-long adventure, isn’t it? One minute you’re looking up a recipe, and the next you’re reading about penguins or how hot air balloons work! It’s like having a library, encyclopedia, and curiosity machine all in one place.

So here’s the question: What do you search on the internet these days? Are you chasing new hobbies, planning a trip, or just looking for a good laugh?

As for me, I’ve been diving into new movies and music—always looking for something fresh to add to my weekend lineup. 🎬🎵

Now it’s your turn! Share what’s been filling your search bar lately—I bet we’ll discover a few new rabbit holes (and maybe a few hidden treasures) together!

Cheers!
Blue 💙

I will Google any question that comes to mind. I was looking up one of my medications yesterday as well as a Wikipedia on one of the stars I watch on my show, "The Killing". I've looked up how do you tell a female Molly from a male Molly; What do Mystery Snail eggs look like; and how do you eat a Pomengranate and when are they in season. All if not more searches just yesterday.

A lot of mental health issues. Problems about suicide, depression, anxiety etc. Those things take up too much time in my mind. Ways to live with severe chronic pain. Sometimes it’s for proper spelling.
I use DuckDuckGo. I don’t care for Google as I’ve heard that your searches are/can be traced. I don’t want the stuff followed by anyone or anything. Just my not so humble opinion. 😊

Free on line games and coloring by number
Thanks for sharing @Arkie ! Online games and color-by-number activities sound like such a fun way to unwind. 🎨🎮 Do you have a favorite game or coloring app you like to use, or do you like trying out new ones each time?

That’s such a great mix of searches — everything from TV stars to pets to healthy snacks! Thanks for sharing @NIBOR0 ! It’s amazing how the internet can satisfy our curiosity so quickly. 😊 I love that you even looked up how to eat a pomegranate — did you end up trying one? And are the Mollies and Mystery Snails part of your home aquarium?

The news! You need to watch it to keep up. Changes are going on all of the time.
You’re absolutely right @Sue Sue — it feels like there’s something new happening every day! Staying informed really does help make sense of it all. 🗞️ Do you have a go-to news site or channel you trust the most, or do you like to check a few different sources?

I search how to do it yourself projects. On and off I work on my family tree. Search for things I need and order it.
That sounds like such a nice mix of practical and personal searches @Hazeleyes ! DIY projects can be so rewarding — and researching your family tree must make for some fascinating discoveries. 🪚🌳 Have you found any interesting relatives or surprises while tracing your ancestry? And what kind of DIY projects do you enjoy most?

Thank you for opening up and sharing that @Gayle B. — it sounds like you spend a lot of time learning and looking for ways to cope and understand what you’re going through. 💛 It’s great that you’re using resources like DuckDuckGo too — privacy matters, especially when you’re searching personal topics. Are there any particular websites or forums you’ve found helpful for mental health or chronic pain support?

I have been looking for Christmas gifts.
That’s always such a fun kind of search — and a good reminder that Christmas isn’t all that far away! 🎄Thank you for sharing @Carol * ! Do you usually shop online for gifts, or do you like browsing in stores too? And have you found anything special yet?

Anything and everything i need or want to know. That way I don't have to hear people say "I don't know" GOOGLE is my friend. 🤣
Haha, I love that — Google really is the friend who always has an answer! 😄 Thanks for sharing @Rusty Vale ! It’s amazing how quickly we can find out just about anything these days. Are there certain topics you find yourself looking up more often than others, or is it truly a bit of everything?

Facebook, Ebay, news events, and what's happening locally.
Sounds like you keep a nice balance between staying connected, informed, and entertained @Gibb ! 😊 Facebook and eBay can both be such great sources for finding interesting things. Do you have a favorite local news site or Facebook group you like to check in with for community updates?
