Hey, GrayViners! 👋

My partner and I went on three date nights in a row while I was away, and every single time, I ordered steak. 🥩❤️ Some say there’s only one right way to enjoy it, while others believe it’s all about personal taste.

Yes, we’re talking about the age-old question: What's your preferred steak doneness?

Picture it—a perfectly seared cut, tender and juicy, sizzling fresh off the pan or grill. Maybe you love it with a deep brown crust and a pink, tender center. Or perhaps you prefer it cooked all the way through, rich and hearty from edge to edge. No matter the choice, everyone’s got their own idea of the “perfect steak.”

So tell us, GrayViners—are you Team Rare, savoring that melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, or Team Well-Done, all about that full-bodied flavor and texture? And while we’re at it, what’s your favorite side dish to go with it?

Personally, I’m Team Medium Rare! just the right balance of sear, flavor, and juiciness! 😋

To the sizzles that start the best conversations,
Sophia

First I must add that I’m droolong over the posted picture! I also envy your date nights and having steak 3 nights in a row!
Okay, I love mine medium rare. I like a nice char on the outside and bright pink on the inside. Oh please oh please, make me eat steak 3 nights in a row!Besides, I can’t finish my steak in 1 sitting. My husband does most of our cooking and he has to reheat it carefully so as not to over reheat it. Yummy yummy in my tummy tummy! 😋

I, too, drooled over your picture. I haven't had steak in a long time because we simply can't afford it. I like it seared on the outside and medium rare on the inside. A really good rub can make or break your steak.

Hi. I just came back from a cruise. I had steak for most of my dinners. I like my steaks on the rare side. I feel it is tastier that way. My wife likes hers medium.

When I was able to eat steak it had to be medium rare. I have kidney disease so only allowed fish, chicken and turkey.
I do miss steak but most of all lamb.
