Introduction

Hi everyone. I am from Maine, retired after 47 years of teaching, mostly high school English. Miss students, but not all the politics and other issues in the education field now.
I have been retired for 22 years, although I continued to teach after the official retirement. I am looking forward to meeting new people who are also retired and finding new and fun things to do in the "golden years."

Hi @Aunt Marilyn and a big welcome to The TGV community! Wow — 47 years of teaching! That’s an incredible career, and I’m sure you’ve left a lasting impact on so many students. It’s great to hear that you continued sharing your knowledge even after retiring — true dedication! It sounds like you’ve embraced retirement beautifully, and I hope you find plenty of friendly faces here and new ideas for making the most of these golden years. Whether it’s picking up a hobby, sharing stories, or just having a good chat, you’re in great company. Looking forward to seeing more of your posts! Take care and stay safe always!
