Mondegreen​

I came across an interesting word recently: mondegreen (pronounced as MAAN-DUH-GREEN). It’s used to describe a word or phrase that’s misheard, often from a song or statement. One hilarious example is from Elton John's Tiny Dancer: "Hold me closer, Tony Danza." The actual lyric? "Hold me closer tiny dancer." Meanwhile, the actual lyric is: "Hold me closer tiny dancer."
