My pet skunk...

His name was Squirt I had since 6 wks. old in Pennsylvania. There was a breeder in the Pocono Mt. area who used to sell them to local pet stores every Spring. He was the best pet ever. Was litter trained and had the run of the house. They are de-skunked as we called it at birth. It is a non-surgical process if done correctly. He ended up being 20 lbs. He ate Purina dog food his vet was an exotic vet so he got very good care. thumbnail.jpgthumbnail.jpg

Wow, a pet skunk—now that’s something you don’t hear every day! And litter trained and free to roam? That's impressive! I also didn't know that they could be "de-skunked"! Squirt must have been a truly wonderful pet! Thank you for sharing his photo and telling us about him! Would you mind if we featured this in our newsletter?
