Sunday Classics 07.27.2025
Another Sunday, another sweet stroll down memory lane—and folks, y’all really showed up last week with a great batch of song suggestions!
From toe-tappin’ oldies to tearjerker ballads, your picks made for a mighty fine Sunday soundtrack. But after all the comments and reactions rolled in, GrayViner @Arkie98 's pick took the crown—and we couldn’t agree more!
This week’s winner is the heartwarming and hopeful “Everything is Beautiful” by Ray Stevens.

Released in 1970, this tune quickly soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Adult Contemporary charts. Now, you may know Ray Stevens for his comedy hits like “The Streak” or “Gitarzan”, but this song showed a softer, more soulful side of him—and boy, did it strike a chord with the country.
With its message of kindness, unity, and seeing the good in others, “Everything is Beautiful” became an anthem of the time. In fact, that sweet choir of children at the beginning? They were from Oak Hill Elementary School in Nashville, and their little voices helped make this song unforgettable.
Now it’s your turn! Drop your pick for next week’s Sunday Classics in the comments below. Whether it’s a tearjerker, a toe-tapper, or something you danced to in the kitchen back in ’72—we want to hear it! The song with the most reactions will be featured in next Sunday’s newsletter.
Let’s keep the music (and memories) going!
Cheers!
Blue
