Sunday Classics 11.16.2025
Hey GrayViners!
We’ve got a real powerhouse hit taking the spotlight this week!
Our winning tune for Sunday Classics comes from none other than GrayViner @RoyzToyz , who suggested the unforgettable “Oh Sherrie” by Steve Perry!

Released in 1984 as the lead single from Perry’s first solo album, Street Talk, this heartfelt rock ballad quickly soared up the charts, reaching #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the US Rock Chart.
The song was written about Perry’s then-girlfriend, Sherrie Swafford, who even starred in the music video—giving fans one of the most iconic love songs (and hair moments!) of the ’80s.
Fun fact: the song almost didn’t happen! Perry came up with the idea during a late-night jam session, starting with just the words “Oh Sherrie… hold on, hold on”—and the rest became history.
Now it’s your turn, GrayViners! What timeless tune should take the stage next week?
Drop your suggestion in the comments below—the one with the most reactions will be crowned our next Sunday Classics winner and featured in next week’s newsletter.
So, let’s keep the music rolling—what song’s been playing in your head all week?
Cheers!
