The "A" in Chick-fil-A

You’ve probably enjoyed a Chick-fil-A sandwich (or at least their famous waffle fries), but have you ever wondered what the “A” in the name stands for? It’s not just a random letter. You might think the “A” is just there to make “fil-A” sound like “fillet,” but that’s not the case!

The “A” actually stands for “Grade A” quality, a nod to founder Truett Cathy’s commitment to serving top-tier chicken. He combined “Chick” (short for chicken) with “A” to emphasize excellence—so every bite is supposed to be the best!

Now you’ve got a fun fact to share next time you grab a sandwich! What other brand names have you always been curious about?

And do you know a fascinating fact?
