The Math of Friendship
A man walks into a pub, orders three beers, and gulps them down. The bartender asks, "Why three?"
The man replies, "I have two friends—one in Australia and the other in Asia. Every day, we drink together, one beer for each of us."
The next day, the man comes in and orders only two beers. The bartender, concerned, asks, "Did something happen to one of your friends?"
The man smiles and says, "Nope, I just decided to quit drinking."
