The Nickel Saver
A father walks into a restaurant with his young son and gives him three nickels to play with while they wait for their food.
Suddenly, the boy starts choking and turns blue. The father realizes he’s swallowed the nickels and begins patting him on the back. The boy coughs up two of them—but he’s still choking!
Panicking, the father shouts for help.
At a nearby table, a calm, well-dressed woman in a blue business suit looks up from her coffee and newspaper. Without hesitation, she walks over, takes charge, and performs a few quick, precise first-aid maneuvers.
In seconds, the boy coughs up the last nickel! The woman catches it neatly and hands it to the father before returning to her seat.
Amazed, the father says,
“I’ve never seen anything like that before! That was amazing—are you a doctor?”
The woman smiles and replies,
“No. I’m with the IRS.”
