Vintage Building Blocks

If this box of wooden blocks brings back memories, you’re not alone—who else remembers building crooked castles and mismatched mansions with these beauties? These vintage building blocks were the stuff of rainy-day dreams and quiet afternoon fun. Did you have a set like this growing up? Tell us what you used to build below. What’s the one nostalgic find that made you smile? Share it with us!

We didn’t have blocks. Left in the attic we found a box of Lincoln Logs. We found a box of City Blocks. They were all white and we used them to build stuff like in playing with Legos. Something else in the attic is a metal building system. We never knew its name but we could make nearly everything we could think of. We made carousels, Ferris wheels and construction equipment like cranes. The metal pieces were metal and flat in different shapes. There were nuts and bolts to connect the pieces together. As we grew older the contraptions became more sophisticated. Great toy! 😎
