Living in Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area, we already have "perfect weather" so I'd definitely choose never to be stuck in traffic. It's horrendous commuting to SF everyday. What should be a 25-30 minute drive usually becomes an 1 1/2 - 2 hour drive everyday.
Thanks for sharing @57raider — wow, that kind of daily commute sounds exhausting! You’re lucky to have such beautiful weather already, but I can absolutely see why you'd trade it in a heartbeat for smoother traffic. Two hours for a 30-minute drive? That’s brutal. Do you have any tricks for making that long commute more bearable, or are you just counting down the days until you can skip it altogether?

Even though i prefer perfect weather i detest being stuck in a traffic jam. Tempers flare and drivers get aggressive. I have seen them try and pass on the right hand side on the shoulder. And so many people get gun crazy.
Thanks so much for sharing @Arkie98 — I can hear the tension in your words, and rightly so. Traffic can bring out the absolute worst in people, and when aggression mixes with road rage and weapons, it’s no wonder you'd want to avoid it altogether. Since you prefer perfect weather too, I’m curious — if you could magically have both, where would you picture yourself living?

Perfect weather for me. Living in Florida and never having to worry about a hurricane suits me just fine. I can handle traffic over them any day. Besides, at 78, I don't venture that far from home, unless I'm flying.
Thanks for joining the conversation @bobbibonn ! That makes total sense — Florida weather can be beautiful, but those hurricanes are no joke. I’d pick peace of mind over perfect traffic too if it meant no more storm worries! And good on you for still flying at 78! Do you have a favorite destination you like to visit, or somewhere on your travel wish list?
