Yippee, Yappee, and Yahooey​

These three sword-wielding goofballs brought laughs and slapstick adventure to Saturday morning TV. Dressed like Musketeers, their antics were more chaotic than courageous. Whether charging into battle or just trying to follow royal orders, this trio rarely got it right—but always got a laugh. Yippee, Yappee, and Yahooey debuted in 1964 as part of The Peter Potamus Show, a classic from the golden age of Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Did you watch them back in the day?

I had to check with my brother as I couldn’t remember if. He said the 3 of us kids watched it together on Saturday mornings! Good memories!

I loved watching them. I also watched The Flintstones, The Jetsons, and Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Top Cat, Jonny Quest, Space Ghost, and Spider-Man but they were not part of the The Peter Potamus Show but still great cartoons.

I never knew their names... JUST watched - Back then... BUT in 2000 I worked at the Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City, Tn... We had to clear out the OLD office ... In the clearing I found a coffee cup... Huckleberry Hound & crew...
