I still love cash, my daughter keeps laughing at me, saying I should use credit cards, I do have a couple that I use for big purchases
but when it’s groceries, gas, or haircuts, cash is king. Besides, if I don’t have it, I can’t spend it.
You put that well. Cash does help set limits and makes spending easier to track in the moment.

We use both. We can’t get out to the stores in person. Groceries and other things get delivered which requires a card. When we send out for something like a pizza we use cash. We don’t keep much of cash in our house, though. It’s what works best for us these days. It’s our reality. 😎
That’s a practical routine. Cards for deliveries and a little cash for quick orders sounds like a good balance.

For something under $20 I would rather pay cash since there are extra charges when you use a credit card at high rates.
That’s a smart approach. Using cash for small things keeps the extra charges out of the way.

Credit cards really do make everyday spending easier. A lot of people lean that way now.
I pay mostly with credit card so I do not have to keep running to the bank to get cash out. I do not use ATM machines. I hear a lot of people being robbed of money so rather not have much around.

That’s such a relatable exception, school events still keeping cash alive! Do you stash a few bills just for those volleyball games, or is it always a last-minute scramble?
I hate to tell you this, but I went to my bank branch and cashed a check for all of her games, and included my father's tickets as well. He accompanies me to her home games (he will be 95 in October). I got 18 $5 bills, and 18 $1 bills. I felt it necessary to explain to the teller my strange request.
