@donnarepsher Orthotic slippers sound like the perfect blend of comfort and support. Glad they help keep your feet warm too.Broke my left ankle twice and now orthotic slippers are a must--plus they keep my feet warm.
@Gringy59 That’s the perfect balance. Barefoot inside for comfort, slippers outside for protection.Im always barefoot in my house! Outside I put on my slippers for my own yard.
@Gibb That’s so funny! Dogs really do pick up on those little cues. Barefoot all day sounds peaceful, and I love that your pup knows your routine.Barefoot all day. My dog knows if I put shoes on I'm going away LOL
@angelmimi What a sweet memory. I can just picture that shoe store and you and your sister picking pairs together. It’s amazing how some habits from childhood stay with us. Those house shoes must be practically untouched! When I was growing up we had a cheap shoe store. We could get shoes 2 pair for $5. My sister got one and I got the other pair. We only wore them to school The rest of the time we were always barefoot. This habit has stuck with me and I am now 69 years old. I have a couple of pairs of house shoes that were gifts that still look brand new!!!
I got this from my mother. She was barefoot most of the time as well. I don't stand in the snow for very long while grilling; just long enough to tend my grill, then back inside. I find it invigorating!@GaryBlake Barefoot even in the snow? That’s impressive. You’re braver than most of us!
