Hey, hey, dear GrayViners! The weekend’s almost here! Do you have any plans?

I’ll be sticking close to my desk. It’s where I work during the day, then I switch to journaling, crafts, or a cozy movie or book at night. You could say I’m pretty attached to this little corner of the house. How about you? What’s your favorite spot at home where you spend most of your time? Tell me all about it in the comments!

Being a 75 year old retired and an unattached male, I spend the majority of my time in my den/computer room. Since the monthly cost of cable television and interent service became so extremely high, I have withdrawn from the world of television. I reply on the internet to bring the outside world into my home. I receive my daily newletters, emails, news, sports, weather, movies and some of the new popular streaming entertainment offerings along with Facebook all on my desktop computer. I am surrounded by four walls which are adorned with a vintage 1960's 12 inch round Simplex office wall clock, photos, pictures, artwork, political campaign posters and a custom framed original August 16, 1954 first issue of Sports Illustrated.

I spend the daytime on my couch in front of my laptop.. I have a large orange trunk my Mom antiqued a long time ago and my laptop is at a good height sitting on it. I watch a series show on TV, right now it's The Killing.. In the evening I go to my room where my craft table is set up and do some diamond paiinting. I've framed a couple of them but haven't sold anything yet.

I spend early morning watching the news on tv in my living room while reading emails and playing a few computer games. Then I do projects, cleaning out, or cleaning the house besides if there are any doctor appointments .

Due to our mobility issues and not having a couch, I spend too much time in my rocking recliner. My husband has his beside mine. I’m not sure it would be much different otherwise. Maybe. Who knows.

In days past I wanted to add that sports were a happy place for both of us. He was a professional racket ball player and Little League coach. I played Softball for the Air Force women’s team. Things have certainly changed! ☮️🇺🇸

We are full timers in an RV . On nice days we sit outside and enjoy the view on rainy days I like to do puzzles or embroidery.
That sounds like such a peaceful rhythm — fresh air and changing views when the weather’s nice, and cozy creative time when it rains. I love that balance! Do you have a favorite embroidery project you’ve finished recently, @mythreedogs2017?

Your den sounds like a personal time capsule — I can almost picture that vintage clock and Sports Illustrated cover! I'm happpy to hear that The GrayVine is part of your days. I hope wer're bringing you fun and entertainment on most days, @RoyzToyz!

My bedroom. I’m retired now but for 20 years I wished I could just stay at home and not go in to the office. My wish has come true.
It must feel so good to slow down and enjoy your own space on your own time. What’s your favorite part of your day now, @Hello Kitty ?

That orange trunk sounds like such a clever (and sentimental!) workspace idea. We'd love to see your finished diamond paintings, @NIBOR0 ! hope you could send some photos our way!

That’s such a nice morning ritual — news, coffee, and a little gaming before tackling the day. Sounds like you keep things both relaxing and productive. What kind of projects have you been working on lately, @Hazeleyes ?

My favorite place in my apartment is my bedroom. I spend more time there than anywhere. It also keeps my living room clean & picked up in case someone stops by.
Smart move, @Groovygranny59 — keeping one cozy spot for yourself and the living room guest-ready! I can imagine how relaxing it must feel to unwind there. How do you spend most of your time?

Even if mobility limits where you sit, it’s lovely that you and your husband can spend time together like that. What do you two enjoy chatting about from your chairs, @Gayle B. ? (Also, I have to say, I enjoy hearing/reading stories about you and your husband. I can feel so much love, it's so heartwarming!)
